Hello friends. This section of my website is for my radio projects and modifications that I did on some of my radios. This is the newest section of my website, crystalradio.us.

To get the ball rolling, here is a mod that I did to my Yaesu FT990 transceiver to improve the operation.

Yaesu FT990 Receiver Hiss Reduction

I like looking at the band. Not only does a good radio feel smooth to the ears, but the eyes get a treat with a good radio with a pan-adapter. A pan-adapter or bandscope expands the function of a receiver, essentially adding a picture of the band that is being monitored.

Kenwood TS-590S Pan-Adaptor

The TS-590S packs a lot of value in a compact, well designed package, but does not have an IF out connector for use with a pan-adapter.
